Had this DLP TV for about 8 months and have had zero problems. Love the size, works great for movies, cable TV shows, and of course it's awesome for CoD - Modern Warfare 2! It has good sound but could always be better of course...it really could never be TOO loud when you're playing Modern Warfare or whooping up at Wii Bowling. One drawback that I wish it had was a PC port found on most LCDs nowadays. I'd love to plug in my MacBookPro and watch my movies but now that the Mac Mini comes with an HDMI port there's no worries there. Originally this TV was purchased for $1100 which I thought was a steal and now it's even cheaper. I understand that the lamp will eventually go out based on usage but so what. In a couple of years it'll still be bigger than most of my friend's TV and for around $200 I can put a new lamp in it and boom...It's good for another couple of years. Well worth it in my opinion, especially for the price.

For all you people who buy a DLP, LCD, LED and plasma products. Do yourself a favor and buy a good Battery backup. The processors in these tv's are very fragile and surge protectors only protect the positive side of the power. Most surges come from both. Mine went out twice and the repair man informed me how to end the problem. He was right never a problem again. All failures came right after the power surge or outage.

lamp went out after 1.5 years, cost 175$ for new but 93 days later the new lamp broke and was told by customer support it was out of warrenty by 3 days... save your self some grief and buy another brand as their customer service needs help and they need to fix the issues with lamps burning out soo fast
This review goes more to the customer service at Mitsubishi. The delivery was on time and the box was in perfect shape; but the TV did not work well. It had an issue with turning on and off. Mitsubishi sent me a firmware fix that seamed to help; but only for a few days. They set me up with a local repair technician who ordered the replacement part based on the symptoms I described. After being back ordered for a week the part arrived and the technician came to my home and quickly repaired the TV. Mitsubishi made several follow up phone calls to check on our repair status. It's been a few weeks and everything is still working fine. Overall a very nice TV with good customer service.
