I was looking for a clean machine and found it here...I have been running pretty normal applications, Win XP Pro, MS Office and a few other apps with no issues. At the time I thought the price for the computer including the 160GB HDD was a little skimpy - 500GB drives are very close pricewise. I am happy overall, and would recommend this machine to a client. |

I'd had my eye on this machine for some time as I scoured the web for an XP laptop with the parallel port (hardware lock) to replace an older laptop with the PP.
Alas, it's not a laptop, but this Systemax is an outstanding performer. All of my legacy software runs better than ever, and I can also get decent performance from a demanding game like SupCom, which wouldn't run at all on my laptop.
Sound, graphics and other subsystems are better than my expectations, and this new box is easily twice as fast as the laptop it's replacing. Sweet! |

I bought this PC to replace my old P4 PC which was running Win 2K. I like the fact that it included a rollback to Win XP (in lieu of Vista). The 2GB of memory is also nice. The PC is fast and runs fine.
I only have 2 complaints. First, the hard drive was partitioned into C: and D:, where D: contains the system image. This is a nice touch, however, the D: drive was partitioned to 40 GB size, and the image is only 3GB. This wastes a lot of disk space which could have been included on the C: drive.
Second, the version of Office 2007 that was included has a full license for all programs except Access. Access is a 90 day trial version. My scuba dive computer SW requires that Access be installed, so I will have to purchase it after the 90 day trial expires, and I'm not sure how much it will cost.

Got for the kids - really quiet and great for them for homework and internet gaming, email and all. Nice set up, just plug it in and it is ready. Only complaint is it did not come with any anti virus, not even a trial version. A great deal i think anyways. |

Great value - nice machine. Features probably deserves a 5 star as well based on features per dollar spent - but that is really the value category. I have not 'stress' tested the performance yet but so far it runs great. |
